Mario A Messina-Azekri

Mario Messina-Azekri was born in Rosario, Argentina, and his life journey has been nothing short of remarkable. At the age of 12, he made a significant move to Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico, where he enrolled at Colegio Mexico. This period of his life also saw him attending the Silva Mind Control Institute and developing his skills as a self-taught hypnotist. Besides these pursuits, he volunteered with the Red Cross Mountain Rescue team and displayed his athletic prowess in soccer, tennis, basketball, and judo. At the age of 15, he first ventured into the world of poetry.

At 16, after the death of his parents, Mario relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he attended Hollywood High School, ultimately graduating as the salutatorian of the Class of 1975. 1979 he accomplished another significant milestone by earning a BA degree in Pre-Medicine and Spanish Literature from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. His senior thesis, a study on reincarnation based on past-life regressions under hypnosis, was published during this time. Furthermore, he contributed a series of poems in Spanish to the literary world.

Mario's dedication to education and service continued as he worked as a Home School Consultant for the Migrant Education Program, assisting children with their medical and educational needs. He also served as a translator for local police departments, educational institutions, and businesses, and notably translated for Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel during his visit to Linfield College.

His career path took a turn when he spent 25 years as a parole investigator for both the Oregon Parole Board and the Department of Corrections. In 1996, he embarked on a new path as a massage therapist, where he gained expertise in various modalities of healing, including sound healing, energy touch, craniosacral techniques, neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, and diverse bodywork techniques. Alongside this, he delved into the world of martial arts, studying disciplines such as tai chi and Qi-Gong. A dedicated meditator for over three decades, he made multiple trips to India to deepen his practice. For more than 26 years, Mario coached soccer, helping players realize their full potential.

Upon retiring from the State of Oregon, Mario shifted his focus to creating personalized comic books for children, using photos and staged action figures. He also channeled his creativity into constructing castles and pirate ships. In a touching tribute to his wife Nancy, he penned a collection of over 100 poems.

Mario's passion for sharing knowledge led him to teach Meditation and Qi-Gong at Lewis and Clark College for approximately two years. In his leisure time, he enjoys indulging in computer video games and tending to his beloved garden and Bonsai trees.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mario found the time to bring his long-contemplated ideas to fruition by writing his first book, culminating in a decade of plot refinement. As an author, he is already researching material for his next book in the series, demonstrating that his journey of creativity, service, and exploration is an ongoing one.

You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet still, and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
